System requirements
- iPhone or iPad on iOS/iPadOS 17 or later.
- iCloud enabled on every device that should receive alerts.
- Microphone permission on the listening device, notification permission on the receiving ones.
- Everyone in a Family Circle needs BarkPing and their own iCloud account.
Known limitations
- BarkPing must remain visible while it listens. The display stays awake automatically; locking the device or switching apps stops monitoring.
- Calls and other audio can temporarily interrupt listening; iOS shows the microphone indicator during monitoring.
- iOS may delay or coalesce push notifications. Open the app to see every event – the log is always complete.
- BarkPing is a signal and a record, not an alarm with guaranteed delivery.
Report a problem
Email support@barkping.com and describe which device you're using, which iOS version it runs and what happened. A screenshot helps. Saved detection clips remain in the app and are never sent to support automatically.
